You need to have patience and train on a regular basis so that you will be able to master the skill of running.

What many people don’t understand is that when you push your body to go too fast too soon, your body will give in, which could result in you throwing in the towel and never running again. Running fast may be exhilarating and fun, but it may also result in injuries. To avoid burn outs, you need to give your body some downtime. Slow down until you feel that your body is charged up again. To run effectively, a runner needs to start off slowly, get a feel as to what his body is capable of and then decide on the distance he/she feels they can run.
You want to get some goals about distances so that you can run and slowly build up your mileage. About the right amount of increase is ten percent a week.

You could just be starting to run or you may go up to marathon training plans. Having a training plan won’t be enough though. You’ve actually got to put it into play. You need to make sure that you have enough time set aside to make this part of your weekly routine.

The last and most important piece of advice is that when it comes to serious running you will need a pair of good running shoes that will protect your feet. Running shoes will be your most important purchase. Moisture wicking running apparel is also something that you will appreciate on warmer days.
