Treadmill Horizon Designed with Users in Mind

One of the best brands of fitness equipment out in the market today is Treadmill Horizon. They’ve a full line of affordable, easy-to-use and space maximizing treadmills. If working out in a gym wasn’t your thing, Treadmill Horizon is just what you want to reach your fitness goals. Best of all, it allows you do your workouts in the privacy of your own home.

Treadmill Horizon comes in a variety of models to suit each person’s unique desires. Models come with a mix of features, sizes and price-range. Here are just some of them:

The T51

The T51 is the basic, lower-end model in Treadmill Horizon’s fitness artillery. What is good about this treadmill is that it can be folded up for simple storage while giving users the suppleness of setting the incline and the corresponding speed to suit their fitness level. This machine also gives users the option to start out on four preset levels before going on their own. Not to forget that the T51 also comes with a free heart rate monitor. Other brands only have this feature on their complicated models.

The T52

The T52 model is a level higher than the T51. This model allows the users to set the treadmill incline and speed like the T51, but has six preset programs rather than just 4. Also, like the T51, the T52 also folds up for easier storage.

The T53

The T53 is a step up to the T52 model. It also offers more value-added features than the prior 3. For one, it has six preset programs and shock absorption capability. It could also accommodate 12 Miles speeds without conking out. Other treadmills blow a fuse, so to speak, at ten miles per hour. This makes the T53 perfect for runners who live to run fast.

Moreover, this model’s incline can go as high as 12%, which is a lot higher than the level other brands would go. The T53 also offers grip handles that monitor the user’s heart rate from his pulse. Like other Treadmill Horizon models, the T53 also folds up for easier storage.

The T54

Lastly, there is the T54. It’s the top of the line Treadmill Horizon model. It offers all that the T53 offers and much more. Aside from the six preset modes, it also has two heart rate monitors and two user-customizable programs. The T54 also includes a chest strap and again, folds up for convenient storage.

Learning More about Treadmills will save you Money

Good Preparation

Like any equipment on the market, manufacturers will provide differing specifications and features to lure us into buying a more expensive product. Treadmills are no different and if we know a little more about the product and what features we will actually need, our ultimate purchase should be cheaper and provide greater satisfaction

Before embarking on your shopping expedition and letting the salesman coerce you into getting excited about all sorts of treadmills, it is worthwhile considering what you will actually need and what would be nice to have. Ask yourself the following questions:

- Do you intend to use it for walking or jogging?
- What is your budget for the treadmill?
- Are you taller or heavier than average?
- Do you need to monitor heart rate, calories burned, distance walked, incline/speed, time elapsed etc.
- Do you have any space restrictions?

The staff at fitness stores are likely to have more specialized knowledge of treadmills as opposed to general sports stores who tend to be “Jack of all trades” so, you will want to source a suitable outlet.

Motorized Treadmills

If you are opting for a motorized treadmill, the motor is a really important factor to consider. In general, the larger and heavier the motor, the longer it will last but, will cost more money. If you only intend to walk on the treadmill, a smaller motor will suffice; perhaps 1 - 1.5 horse power. If you will me running or walking on the treadmill go for a 2 - 3 horse power model. Try and buy the largest motor you can afford.

Quality and Thickness of the Deck and Track on Treadmills

The deck is going to take some punishment but at the same time, you will want to protect and cushion your ankles, knees and hips. As a general rule of thumb, a 3/4 inch deck will be suitable for walking whereas jogging or running on the treadmill would require a 1 inch deck as a minimum. Of course, a person’ s weight factor will also play a part in your choice of treadmill deck.

You will need to ensure that the track on all the treadmills you look at are sufficiently wide and long enough to accommodate your normal gait whilst running, jogging or walking

Electronics

Normally the additional gadgets and features are the cause for paying more for add-ons you may not need. Ensure the salesman explains what each of these features does and do not easily convince yourself that you cannot do without them.

It is imperative that you try out the various treadmills available in the store; do not be shy about this as you will want to ensure the product is suitable for you. If you know what you need or desire, you will end up with a product that you will use and not end up in a closet collecting dust.
