Treadmill Walking Belt Lubricant: Improve the Performance of Your Treadmill

There are certain fundamental differences in what happens to the athlete’s feet when running on the track compared to when running on a treadmill. For instance, the centre of mass of the athlete running on the track behaves rather differently by accelerating the centre of their mass when propelled forward and decelerates this mass when in an early-stance, and this acceleration and deceleration occurs continuously as the athlete moves forward.

The athlete who uses the treadmill, however, finds that his centre of mass remains static due to the fact that running on the treadmill walking belt keeps the centre of mass under and behind his legs and feet and this is because the athlete does not need to propel himself forward but rather only needs to remain balanced and stable.

The prolonged use of a treadmill will certainly entail some amount of maintenance work and keeping the treadmill walking belt in good shape is of as much importance as keeping the body in shape. This is because keeping the treadmill walking belt in good condition will not only ensure that the treadmill lasts longer but will also keep the personal performance at a proper level.

The need to replace a treadmill walking belt can incur a certain amount of expense and as is the case with other maintenance items, the cost can be more than budgeted for. Even a single treadmill walking belt that needs to be replaced can cost hundreds of dollars and will also result in a break in the workout schedule.

Therefore, keeping the treadmill walking belt in good condition is incredibly important, and can easily be achieved by using a treadmill walking belt lubricant regularly, even though newer treadmills may not require lubrication in their early stages. In any case, it is necessary to check in the treadmill manual in order to see when normal and routine maintenance need to be performed.

When using the treadmill walking belt lubricant, it is imperative to check that the right lubricant is being applied due to the fact that there are many different lubricant types available on the market. Choosing the one that is not proper for your particular machine may make the treadmill act jerky, and this is not only a possible cause for injury, but also can possibly seriously damage your machine.

This is why taking the small amount of time and consideration that is required is so truly important, and why you will be grateful in the end because all you will reap is that of positive benefits from taking the proper care of your treadmill.
